Pauline Huffman's Obituary
On Monday, May 28th, 2018, Pauline Virginia Huffman (nee Albright), loving wife and mother of nine children, went to be with the Lord at the age of 76.
Pauline was born on March 4, 1942 in Unionvale, OH to Paul DeWalt and Dessie Albright. On September 1, 1956, she married her best friend and love of her life,Curby W. Huffman. They raised four sons and five daughters; Curby Huffman(Amy) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Paul Huffman (Kimberly) of Columbia Station, Tammy Szymanski (Mark) of Medina, Theresa Paukert (Darryl) of Brunswick, Clinton Huffman (Julie) of Valley City, Christy Cain (Robert) of Medina, Anita Huffman-Austin (James) of Alta Loma, CA, Annette Huffman (Jared) of Elyria, and Brandon Huffman (Amber) of Erie, PA.
Pauline is survived by her dear brother, Chuck Albright; her children;
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, Curby; her parents, Paul and Dessie; her sister, Judy; her brothers, Frank, Kenneth and Melvin; and her grandson, Joshua.
Pauline lived life to the fullest. She was a strong woman that took great pride in her family. She worked hard to see that her children knew they were loved and cared for and taught them to do the same for others. She had a unique way of making people feel that they were valued and a member of her family. Therefore, so many of her children and grandchildren’s friends also call her “Mom” or “Grandma”.
Pauline was so much more than a housewife, a mother and a friend. She was a secret keeper! She often said, “You’d be amazed at what I know!” You could tell her anything and your secrets would never be repeated. No wonder she was everyone’s counselor and confidant. She was a teacher. She led by example. She wasn’t afraid to let you make your own mistakes. In her children’s words, “She would give you enough rope to hang yourself.” She knew there was a lot to learn from your mistakes, and she allowed you to make them. However, don’t think for a minute that you could mistreat one of her “chicks”, even one of the “adopted” ones. WRONG! She was fiercely loyal and protective.
Pauline was fun loving and a partner in crime. Who would think that unwitting accomplice would be “Mom” or “Grandma”. Just ask one of the kids and you will get a crazy story.
Even as sickness took its toll, she loved to have her obnoxious, loud, loving family around her.
