Sallie Dunn
I first met Paul in the 1970’s when he began playing Scrabble with a bunch of seniors at the Strongsville Sr. Center. He not only played an excellent game but his general happy ness gave a lift to us seniors. Paul’s computer skills were very useful when he also joined the AARP Tax group to provide free tax assistance to senior citizens.
We later continued our friendship during the time when he and his wife, Cindy, moved into Shurmer Place. We had similar concerns re our loved one’s illness conditions. Another couple we knew from the senior center came to live at Shurmer Place. Once in a while, Paul, Helen and I were able to squeeze in a Scrabble game. Paul fit right in with our ladies daily dinners too. We enjoyed his company and he made good friends. Following Cindy’s and Paul’s departures from Shurmer Place, we’ve kept in touch by e-mail. Paul sent a sad message about his pneumonia keeping him from having a Merry Christmas. His passing brought shock and sadness.
His many friends and I send our sympathies to the Colella Family.
Your Paul had all of the best qualities!
With deep sorrow, Sallie Dunn
