The daughter of a coal miner and a homemaker, Pat demonstrated independence when she left home at a very early age and moved to Denver to be a telephone operator for ‘Ma Bell’. Independence was to be a theme throughout her life, and led to the raising of three independent sons and through them shaping the next generation, her grandchildren, to be independent as well. She was a person who believed in hard work, individual responsibility, avoiding debt and minding your own business. She worked hard her entire life , and avoided imposing on anyone. A patriot in the truest sense of the word, she took great pride in her family’s military service: a brother, a husband, two sons, and a grandson. Truth be told, as the wife of an Air Force NCO, she served the country, too. The loss of her passing leaves a void that is filled with loving memories.
