We didn't have to talk everyday , every month etc..you were one of those friends who I knew we would always pick up where we left off despite time or distance ..even when you were mad at me or I was upset with you ..we would link up and laugh it off and we knew we had each other's back no matter what ..rare to meet a person so genuine and real with a heart of gold ..you loved your family , your friends , and even those who wronged you ..the epitome of what love means ..I hate I didn't get a chance to say farewell but our memories and adventures will forever live on in my heart , popcorn ..can still hear your laugh..never have had a better friend ..God bless you
These are the kind of things you always hate to see. We all think we are invincible and untouchable and I truly would have thought that Mike was. Truly one of the nice ones.
We all knew him for what everyone thought was a tough, rough exterior and hard ass style, but those of us who truly got to know him, found out what a true softy he really was. If you were lucky enough for him to call you his friend then you had someone on your side no matter what. He was just a straight shooter, no bs, tell it like it is guy who also would do anything for those he cared for.
Wish we had time to get together like we talked about. I truly look forward to meeting your kids and showing them your game tapes. Yeah, their dad could play some ball. Saved my ass many times on Friday nights and got us to a Saturday game. No one can take away those memories we shared from the practice and game fields.
I will make this promise to you, I will get all the tapes and the highlight tape converted to DVD. I will get your family to join as many of your teammates as we can get together and we will let them see their old man getting it done. We will share our memories of you with them and we will enjoy you as we always did.
Never a good thing to lose someone when we least expect it. Especially when deep down we all know what a good guy you truly were. You put your family and friends above yourself. Not many people are willing to do that, but you always made sure to provide and be there. I enjoyed seeing your love for your family and kids through your posts. I loved seeing your love for life doing what you do. You lived your life your way with no cares in the world outside of what you loved and what you wanted. There is nothing wrong with being you and you showed a lot of people how to take life as it comes and always make it worthwhile.
You, my friend, lived and through you, you helped and showed a ton of others how to do it. When you can look and see how many people knew you had their back and protected, it shows the person you were and will always be remembered for. We all had a big brother watching over us and we will always have a big brother watching over us.
Thanks for letting me into a small part of your world. It was a fun ride. RIP Mike. Gone way too soon, but we will definitely never forget you.

"Oh don't you dare look back
Just keep your eyes on me
I said you're holding back
She said shut up and dance with me
This woman is my destiny
She said oh oh oh
Shut up and dance with me "
The best song at the father daughter dance💞

I thank you for being an older brother to me in high school. U were protective over me and always were there for a laugh. I cherish the memories of albion rd and the parties we had....spent many a nights two doors down playing cards and being fools...i will never forget u frying up potatoes in a bowl in the summer while me and my sis where watching days of our lives. Kick ball..capture the flag...then later it was drinking games at ur house with the crew. U ALWAYS had my back at parties..i will never forget!! .Rest in peace my friend.
Hey Mike... I get misty eyed every time I think of not seeing u the next time I randomly pop up for Sunday dinner at Tasha's... u have been around my whole life... all ways mess talkin n making us laugh... calling me your favorite when I agree with u instead of Tasha... Nikki was always the one who called u on your crap lol I never did... in my life I haven't had many examples on what a great father should b but u were definitely one of my few... no matter what u n Tasha went through u never ever left my cousins side... you had her and the kids back no questions asked... they love you so much and I can probably never find the right words to say to ease their hurt... but I kno one thing u were a cool, ish talkin, fun loving ball of joy, and I'm going to miss u cousin... so so so much.. you know our family is small but we always hold each other up so i know we will get through this... but your memory will play on forever in our hearts...
See u later... and I know when I do u will embrace me with open arms and simply say..." Lauren, you know u were always my favorite"
Hey Mike,
Thank you for always being there for my sister when no one else would no matter how crazy you two were, you have never left her side and you have always been a wonderful father and I have witnessed that first hand. You have done things for Tasha and her family and friends without hesitation or question both knowingly and unknowingly. You have taught me no matter how hard life gets always be there for your family and never give up without a fight. know that I never hated you but I have accepted you as a bother and you will always be that. Thank you for my beautiful niece and nephews and I will do all that I can in my power to make sure they have whatever they need. #toyourhonor
