Michael W. Summers' Obituary
Michael W. Summers, 65, passed away on August 16th, 2023, after a brief illness, with his wife by his side.
He was born on April 29th, 1958, to Michael and Frieda (Gollin) Summers in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mick attended Brooklyn High School, graduating in the class of 1976. He then attended Cuyahoga Community College, obtaining an Associate’s degree in Electronics in 1982. Mick began his career at ElectraSound, then became a salesman, maintenance manager, and most recently was working in home construction.
He married Deb Kammer on September 12th, 1981 at Parma Lutheran Church. They have been married for 42 years.
Mick most enjoyed hiking with his wife Deb (geocaching along the way), golfing, playing the drums, shooting Craps, and driving the Corvette. Nobody had a laugh like Mick.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deb Summers; daughter Mindi Summers; mother Frieda Summers; and sisters Patti (Vince) Bonvissuto and Beth (Randy) Loundenslager.
Micheal is preceded in death by his father Michael Summers; and mother and father- in- law James and Rita Kammer.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 20th from 2pm – 6pm at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A Funeral Service will be held the next day, Monday, August 21st, at 10am, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
Donations can be made to either the ASPCA or St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
