Michael J Hogan's Obituary
Michael J. Hogan, known affectionately to friends and family as Mike, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on October 4, 1964, in Elyria, Ohio, Mike was a cherished son, loving husband, devoted father, and a dear brother. He spent his final moments surrounded by his wife and sons in Strongsville, Ohio.
Mike was the beloved son of Robert and Gloria Hogan (surviving). He shared a profound and enduring love with his wife of nearly three decades, Kimberly Hogan, whom he married on October 22, 1994. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Michael and Robert Hogan, who were the pride and joy of Mike's life. His passing is also deeply felt by his siblings: the late Robert (JoVonna) Hogan, Patrick (Jeanne) Hogan, Roy Hogan, James Hogan, Katherine (the late Paul) Karpovich, and Marguerite (Nancy) Hogan. His absence will be felt by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A graduate of Midview High School, Class of 1983, Mike went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Business from Akron University. His college years were marked by his distinctive role as the drum major, a position that showcased his leadership and musical talents. Mike's professional life was spent in the fields of Marketing and Data Analytics.
Mike's interests were as varied as they were passionate. An avid golfer, he could often be found on the green, enjoying the serenity of the game. His love for the outdoors extended to camping, where he cherished time spent in nature with family and friends. A true jack-of-all-trades, Mike delighted in tackling DIY projects around the home, each completed task a testament to his skill and patience. His love for movies and music was profound; Mike was a talented musician who could play all instruments and lend his voice to song with ease.
His faith played a central role in his life. As a member of Pathway Church, Mike served as a former Elder and Music Director. He was also actively involved in the children's ministry, sharing his love for music and his faith with the younger and older members alike of the congregation.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on SATURDAY, June 22nd at 10am at Pathway Church, 21211 Drake Road, Strongsville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pathway Church, in his name.
