Michael Hanneman, age 72, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Michael, known for his kind heart and jovial spirit, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who knew him.
Born to the late A. Louise and Frederick Hanneman, Michael grew up in Brecksville, Ohio, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong sense of community. He was a devoted husband, celebrating 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol. Together, they built a family founded on love, laughter, and respect. Michael was a proud father to his daughters, Melissa (Drew Flood), and Kristen (Ryan Konopinski). He was an adoring Papa to Ava and Ana Flood, & Jake and Josie Konopinski. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Brother to Steve Hanneman (Judy), Jeff Hanneman (Pam), Jennie Remington (Bruce), Sherry Collins (Darrell - deceased), and Judy Rataj (Woody - deceased).
Michael's professional life was marked by a long and dedicated career at Cotton Club Bottling Company. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and hardworking individual who brought warmth and a sense of humor to the workplace. Outside of work, Michael was an avid fan of baseball and golf, often found cheering on his favorite teams or hitting the links on a sunny day. He also had a passion for craft beers, enjoying the artistry and flavors of local breweries. Above all, Michael loved his family deeply.
Michael's presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his absence will be profoundly felt. His laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love have left an indelible mark on his family and friends. As we say goodbye to Michael, we also celebrate the wonderful life he lived and the countless ways he enriched our lives. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and he will be dearly missed.
