Michael Gorlitz, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 49 on April 6, 2025. Michael's unwavering dedication to his family, his infectious enthusiasm for life, and his kind-hearted nature will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, April (nee Turk), for 24 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a proud and loving father to his three sons, Aaron, Austin, and Aiden, who will carry forward his legacy of integrity, compassion, and generosity. Born to David Gorlitz and Elsa Kaman, Michael was a supportive and caring son who honored his parents in every aspect of his life. He was also a loyal brother to Jeff Gorlitz and a treasured member of the extended Turk family, brother-in law to Kenny (Melony) Turk, Matt Turk, Bridget (Bryan), Jessica Turk, and the late Christopher including his role as a fun-loving uncle to Emelia, Parker, Hayden, Ryan, and Logan.
Professionally, Michael was the respected owner and manager of several Taco Bell locations. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic were evident in the success of his businesses, and he was admired by his colleagues and employees alike.
Michael's zest for life was contagious, and his hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie found on the greens. Skydiving was another of Michael's passions, symbolizing his belief in living life to the fullest and embracing every moment with courage. Above all, Michael was known for his readiness to lend a helping hand and his deep appreciation for the relationships he nurtured throughout his life. His friends and family were his world, and he cherished every opportunity to make memories with them.
THE VISITATION FOR MICHAEL GORLITZ WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, APRIL 14, 2025, FROM 4 PM TO 7 PM AT JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, LOCATED AT 15822 PEARL ROAD IN STRONGSVILLE. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AT 7 PM, ALSO AT THE FUNERAL HOME, WHERE WE WILL HONOR AND CELEBRATE MICHAEL'S REMARKABLE LIFE.
As we say goodbye to Michael, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. He was a beacon of light and love, and though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
