To Don and Family,
Can't express adequately to you at this moment how sad it is for me that I am not with all of you this afternoon -- I tried and tried so hard to be able to be there, but with great regret, it just wouldn't work out for me.
P-Nut has been my friend since 10th grade at Lakewood High School -- we had great fun there in Potluck, classes and all else. Will never forget at age 21, when she called me at my office one day to tell me she and Don were getting married -- I told her she shouldn't do that, she was too young, but she did not listen!
Today and tomorrow, already is, will be extremely difficult to get thru as my heart and thoughts are with you there and I am as much with you as possible. Mary knows how I feel at this moment in time and I am grateful for that.
Keep your chins up and stay positive knowing that all who know her are with you and grieving with you -- especially her great-grandchildren which is so wonderful for her and Don and the family to have experienced -- a very rare pleasure..
I join all the family and friends in extending deep regret that she will no longer be with us in body, but will be in soul and fond memory while in the gentle arms of the Lord.

Paynter and I extend our sincere sympathy for your loss. Although we did not know Mary well, we always heard only nice things about her from other neighbors and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Connie & Paynter Higgins
We have known Mary for over 20 years and enjoyed her company on and off the tennis courts of the Twin Isles Country Club in Punta Gorda, Fl.
For many years we have been part of a group with Mary & Don who enjoyed Monday night dinners (Chicken Night) at the Punta Gorda Elks Club followed by Dominoes or cards at a group member's home. We also joined Mary & Don every Saturday afternoon for a "fine dinning" brunch at our local "Taco Bell"; finishing off with a "gourmet dessert" at the Dairy Queen next door.
Our social activities and friendship both here in Florida and in Ohio have enriched our lives and will leave us with many great memories. She will be greatly missed.
Our sympathies and prayers are extended to Don and the Family.

She was always a pleasure to be around and we are sure she will continue to be, in her new home, in heaven! Our prayers go out to entire Voigt family.

"I miss her so much. She was an important person in my life. She stood by me when I had some personal problems. Both Don & Mary welcomed me during that time. I enjoyed her cooking."
Love,
Norman
Mary was my favorite Aunt among my Dads (Norman's) siblings. I always admired her upbeat personality, love & dedication to her husband, Don & all of her family. They were both the kind of people you always enjoyed being around!
My childhood memories are a little vague of family get togethers. But I am sure there were some good times because I recall the photos.
I remember showing up at the Strongsville tennis club when I was playing interclub tennis for River Oaks & finding Mary on the opposing team!
I have fond memories of being included at some of the family gatherings at Paul's home while I was still residing in Cleveland during the summer months.
I recall having Mary & Don over for a few clambakes at my own home in celebration of Norm's b-days.
Mary never once missed sending me a holiday greeting card usually with a note in it on their recent travels or family updates.
I went to Australia with a tour group & had a wonderful time because of their sharing their experience there!
They always made me feel welcome to visit them at their 2nd home in Punta Gorda. I remember seeing their home & the city after the hurricane damage.
My Dad's (nearly 96) 1st reaction after hearing of Mary's stroke was a tearful, "She was always so kind to me." I know that in spite of having 4 children to care for & working, that Don & Mary opened their home to my Dad during a difficult time in his life. I believe Mary did his laundry & probably even ironed his shirts for him! That was just the kind of generous, giving woman she was.
I regret that I am unable to attend her services as I am in the middle of a move from Florida to New Mexico. I was so happy & grateful to have spent time at Rick's home however, on Saturday, to express my sympathies. Loved seeing all the family & grandkids!
You will all be in my thoughts. I wish you strength in this most difficult time. She will always be with all of you. Just ask & you will feel her presence in your heart & soul.
Love,
Her niece, Sandra
