Marion "Mike" Kopanski's Obituary
Marion P. “Mike” Kopanski, 97, passed away October 3, 2014. Beloved husband of Julianna for 71 years. Cherished father of David (Regina), Jim (Liz) and the late Gregory (Ruth). Proud Grandpa of Katie (Joe) Peebles, Amber, Michael, Nicholas (Heather), Nikki, Ricky, Kelly, Kevin, Jack Paige and Jenna. Great-grandpa of Vladimir, Jameson, and Victoria. Mike was a decorated veteran who served as a radio technician in the 63rd Division Artillery in WWII. He retired from WEWS after 38 years as a broadcast engineer. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed being with family and friends. Mike was a generous, kind, and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him.
