Margaret Mary Yelsik's Obituary
Margaret M. Yelsik, 80, passed away on July 22nd, 2023.
She was born on September 9th, 1942, to the late Elmer and Margaret (nee O’Hearn) Vanek in Cleveland, Ohio.
Margaret attended Beaumont High School and graduated in the class of 1961. Following high school, she attended Charity Nursing School, completing a bachelor’s degree in 1965. She worked at North Shore Gastroenterology before retiring in 2014.
She married John Yelsik on October 22nd, 2004, and have been married for 20 years.
Margaret enjoyed traveling and fishing with John. She had a passion for reading, going to the theater, socializing, and being with friends and family. Margaret was known for her gleaming blue eyes and smile.
In addition to her husband, John Yelsik, she is survived by her children Elizabeth “Lisa” (Kevin) Parish, Christopher (Amy) Parish, Scott Parish, Janet (John) Majka, and John (Christine) Yelsik; grandchildren David, Erin, Spencer, Sarah, Jessica, and Sophia; and siblings Jim (Donna) Vanek, Richard (Deborah) Vanek, and Jean (Thomas) Paul.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Eileen (Jack) Lenhard, and Kathryn (John) Samanich.
VISITATION will be held on THURSDAY, July 27th from 3pm – 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on FRIDAY, July 28th at 10am at Royal Redeemer, 11680 Royalton Road, North Royalton. Interment will take place at Hope Memorial Cemetery.
