Magdalene Sarris' Obituary
Magdalene Sarris (nee Volanis), 91, passed away February 2, 2025. Beloved mother of Christopher Frank Sarris, Athena Fleming and the late Michael Sarris. Daughter of the late Fotios “Frank” Volanis and Chrisanathe Bostos. Sister of the late Emanuel and Steve Volanis. Loving grandmother of Alexis Sarris, Alaina Sarris, Arika Fleming, Aundrea Larrick, the late Alycia Fleming, Gillian Sarris and Kristina Sarris.
Magdalene was born in Cleveland and grew up in Heraklion, Crete in the Village of Kasteli in Greece. She was very proud of her Cretan heritage. She raised her family in Brunswick, Ohio. She sang with her church choir, loved cooking and dancing. Magdalene always had a positive outlook on life and was always giving to people with the biggest heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
ALL SERVICES WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2025. VISITATION from 10AM-12PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 12PM at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, North Royalton. Interment will take place immediately following services at St. Theodosius Cemetery.
