Luann Tracy's Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce that our mother, Luann Tracy, was called home to be with the Lord today Thursday June 20th, 2024. She passed peacefully after a long journey with Alzheimer’s at the age of 89.
Born October 26, 1934 in Heber, California to Frank and Myra (Spear) Bezdecheck, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Reno, NV, the oldest of four sisters. She is preceded in death by Patricia (Bezdecheck) Condron and Rhonda (lLenzora) O’Byrne. She is survived by her sister, Lynn (Lenzora) Ousley.
We are certain that Luann was meant at the gates of Heaven by the love of her life, our father, Dennis G. Tracy, who passed away 3 years ago, also from Alzheimer’s. We’re sure they are dancing again. Luann was also reunited with her daughter, Teresa (Tracy) Owen.
Luann was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Scott Tracy, daughter-in-law, Rowena (Kang) Tracy, daughter, Tamara (Tracy) Rajecki, son-in-law, Mark Rajecki, 6 grandchildren, Josh Owen, Krista (Owen) Astemborski, Hunter Tracy, Matthew Rajecki, Nathan Rajecki, Logan Tracy, granddaughter-in-law Samantha (Starling) Owen, and 4 great-grandchildren, Miranda Potter, Daylan Potter, Cassidy Potter and Hunter Smith.
Luann followed Dennis around the world as he served the US Air Force. They settled in Reno, Nevada to raise their family. They continued to travel as much as they could, after retiring in Surprise, Arizona. Luann loved to make new friends, host get-togethers, go to lunch, crafting, and just about anything that involved socializing. Luann made a profound impact on the lives of the people she knew. She has so many wonderful friends who will miss her.
Luann will be cremated and her ashes will be returned to Nevada and laid to rest with Dennis at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada. Services in Nevada have yet to be determined. Scott and Tamara would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff of Cardinal Court Alzheimer's Care Center in Strongsville, Ohio. Thank you for caring for our mom like she was your own family. You will hold a very special place in our hearts.
