Louis John Gigliotti Sr.'s Obituary
Louis J. Gigliotti Sr., 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022.
He was born on June 7th, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Vincent and Stella (nee Moraco) Gigliotti.
Louis married Joanne (Mayer) Gigliotti on January 28th, 1956. They had been married for 65 years before her passing in 2021.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Louis worked for American Airlines for 35 years as an airline mechanic. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Strongsville for 60 years. He loved boating, bowling, golfing, and fishing. He took pride in knowing he actually saw the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and The Cleveland Cavaliers all win championships in his life-time. Most of all, he loved his family and friends dearly.
He is survived by his children Patricia (Ken) Colvin, and Louis J. (Sue) Gigliotti Jr.; siblings Dorothy Naymik and Betty Schodowski; grandchildren Kathy, Mary, Amy, Louis III, Nick, and Gina; and 7 great- grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Louis is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Gigliotti; and siblings Vincent and Thomas Gigliotti.
VISITATION will be held on SUNDAY, October 2nd, 2022 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be on MONDAY, October 3rd, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
