Lois Zwolenik's Obituary
Lois Zwolenik (nee Zurilla), a cherished soul known for her unwavering kindness and radiant smile, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. Born to the late Victoria and John Zurilla, Lois carried their warmth and grace throughout her life. She was a beacon of love and strength for her beloved husband Robert, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of 57 years.
Lois's legacy is lovingly carried on by her devoted children, Robert (Kimberly), Dave (Laura), and Tonya. She was a proud and dearly loved grandmother to Ryan (Kori), Zoe, Hannah, and Tyler (Rita). The joy of her life was further multiplied by her adoration for her great-grandchildren, Abby and Addison. As one of a close-knit family, Lois is also fondly remembered by her siblings Dolly, Martha, Mary, JoAnne, Theresa, Bill, and the late Tom, who will miss her deeply.
Throughout her life, Lois was a pillar of the community, known for her dedication and hard work. Her career began as an operator at Ohio Bell, where she was respected for her professionalism and warmth. Later, she channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into owning and operating several Dairy Queens in the Cleveland area, where she served up smiles along with sweet treats to countless happy customers.
Lois's passions extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was a woman of faith and fellowship. ALL SERVICES to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (12700 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136) on Friday, October 18, 2024. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation from 10 am until 11 am, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:30 am. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network. Lois will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida.
Lois's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. Her spirit and zest for life extended beyond the Polka dance floor to the lush greens of golf courses where she was a regular presence, celebrated for her sportsmanship and camaraderie. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a family that will continue to honor her memory by living out the values she held dear. Lois will be profoundly missed by her long standing friends in Ohio, The Villages, Florida, as well as her newest friends at Vitalia in North Royalton. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
