Lita Staley's Obituary
Lita Staley (nee Bowen), 88, passed away August 12, 2023. Beloved wife of 66 years to Charles “Chuck” Staley. Loving mother of Lynn Tinnirello (the late Vincent) and Leslie Leis (Blake). Daughter of the late William Bowen and Thelma Bowen (nee Davidson). Cherished grandmother of Morgan Barnard (Alex), Mallory Tinnirello and Cole Leis.
Lita was born in Centerville, PA on April 5, 1935. She was a coal miner’s daughter and a true “daddy’s girl”. Lita met the love of her life, Chuck, in Sunday School and they have been inseparable since. She was a longtime member of Strongsville United Methodist Church in Strongsville, Ohio. Lita volunteered at Southwest General Hospital for 15 years, volunteering over 3000 hours of her time. She worked as a dental assistant for many years and had many hobbies such as bowling, listening to music, picking shells at the beach and spending time with her family. She loved her family fiercely – her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Lita’s favorite color was purple and loved anything chocolate – especially Snickers! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
