Linda Sobolewski's Obituary
Linda Sobolewski, a cherished figure known for her warmth, compassion, and dedication to her family and profession, passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on March 17, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, Linda's life was marked by her loving spirit and her unwavering commitment to those she held dear.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Jan Sobolewski, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised a family that became the center of Linda's world. She was a nurturing mother to John Sobolewski (Jennifer), Keith Sobolewski (MaryBeth), and Sandra Richards (Terry). Linda was able to see the positive in any situation, a trait she instilled in her children.
The daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Kortan, Linda was a caring sister to Nancy Taras (the late Dennis), Jean Ziemba (Dan), and the late Joseph Kortan. Her siblings will fondly remember her for her kindness and the countless memories they shared.
Linda's legacy extends to her role as a devoted grandmother. She enjoyed holidays with her grandchildren: August, Ian, Melanie, Ryan, Ashlee, Lauren, Ryan, Hailey, Coby, Tommy, and Henry. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she was a constant source of wisdom, comfort, and joy in their lives.
An accomplished professional, Linda graduated with a Bachelor's degree in nursing, a field where she excelled and found great fulfillment. Her career began at Parma Hospital, where she not only honed her skills as a nurse but also met her lifelong friend, Helen Sobolewski, who introduced her to Jan. Linda eventually transitioned to industrial nursing, where she continued to make a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals through her dedication and care.
Beyond her professional achievements, Linda was known for her passion for crocheting. Her intricate work was not just a hobby but a testament to her patience and attention to detail. The pieces she created were not only beautiful but also imbued with the love and care she put into every stitch.
Linda's role as a grandmother was perhaps the one she cherished most. She was a wonderful grandmother, deeply devoted to her grandkids, always there to celebrate their milestones, support their dreams, and offer a listening ear. Her grandchildren will carry forward the lessons of kindness and love they learned from her.

ALL SERVICES SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2024. VISITATION 10AM-12PM SATURDAY at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Memorial Service will begin immediately following visitation at 12PM. Interment will be held privately for the family.
