Lawrence "Larry" Timony's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” D. Timony, age 81, of Strongsville passed away November 21, 2017. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Kriesen) for 57 years. Loving father of Mark, Gregg (Theresa), Dennis (Sandra) and Pamela (Mark McKee). Proud Grandpa “T” to Sierra, Erin, Hannah, Sophia, Ryan, and Harrison McKee. Dear brother of Karen Kirby, CSJ and the late Mary Ann Basch, Donald Timony, Jeanne Kalt, Rosemary Rucereto, Edmund Kirby, Suzanne Kirby, and Tom Kirby.
Larry’s warm personality and early years spent in a hardware store made him a perfect fit for a career in sales and product management positions with Stanley Works, Rockwell International and Porter Cable. As his neighbors throughout the Midwest can attest, Larry had both the tools and the knowledge to make him the perfect handyman next door. Larry was also known for his talents as a storyteller. Facts rarely got in the way of one of Larry’s epic tales. After retirement in 1998, Larry frequently weighed in on current events via published letters to the editor. He also kept busy as president of his homeowner’s association and as an usher at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Larry’s easy smile and humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
