Laraine Kay Krieger's Obituary
Laraine Krieger (née Richter), age 84, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family and friends.
Born to the late Leonard G. Richter and Betty J. Richter, Laraine lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and compassion. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Paul Krieger, with whom she shared 36 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Laraine was a loving mother to Bryan (Samantha) Dragas and the late Pete Dragas. She was also a devoted stepmother to Amy Beth Krieger, Matthew Paul Krieger (Angela), and Martin Paul Krieger. Family was the center of Laraine's life, and she embraced each of her children and grandchildren with an open heart and unwavering love.
She was the proud grandmother of Alishia Merriman, Nicholas Brazee, Zachary Dragas, and Taylor Dragas, and was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Duane Merriman. Laraine also lovingly embraced David Krieger, Meghan Krieger, Mason Krieger, Kelsey Krieger, and Kroy Krieger as grandchildren of her own, creating special bonds that enriched all of their lives.
Laraine will be remembered for her generous spirit, caring nature, and the countless lives she touched through her friendship, wisdom, and love. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Laraine's life on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Jardine Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous Cleveland District Office, 1557 St. Clair Avenue NE, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Laraine's love, kindness, and treasured memories will remain with her family forever.
