Kevin Patrick Masterson's Obituary
Kevin Patrick Masterson, 62, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. Born on April 27, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin lived a life defined by love, devotion, and a deep commitment to the people around him. His life showed the strength of a man who gave completely of himself to his family and friends.
Kevin's journey began as the son of Daniel Masterson and the late Bernice Masterson. His early years in Cleveland laid the foundation for the man he would become—generous, hardworking, and always ready to support those he loved. He was a beloved husband to Sheila M. Masterson (nee Wulff) for 17 beautiful years.
A devoted father, Kevin’s greatest pride and deepest joy was his son, Ryan. To Ryan, Kevin was more than a dad—he was a constant source of love, guidance, and unwavering support. Everything Kevin did was rooted in his devotion to Ryan’s happiness and well-being. He was always there, without exception, cheering from the sidelines at every sporting event, his presence a steady reassurance. Kevin’s heart was big enough to embrace not only his own son, but Ryan’s teammates, friends, and their families as well—making sure no one ever felt unsupported. His love for his family was limitless, and it was the foundation upon which their lives were built.
Kevin's love extended to his siblings, Diane Havasi (Tibor), Brian Masterson (Vicki), and his four step-siblings, Scott Traczyk, Patrick Traczyk (Beth), Steve Traczyk, and Christine Elbin (Bob). He was a loving brother and a fun uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Professionally, Kevin was a proud and respected member of Local 38, working as an electrician with Ullman Electric. He took great pride in his work and was known by his colleagues as a man of integrity, dependability, and quiet leadership. Kevin approached every job with a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. He went the extra mile not to be noticed, but because helping others and doing the right thing came naturally to him. Beyond his skilled hands, Kevin brought heart to the job, offering guidance, friendship, and a sense of camaraderie that made those around him better. His presence will be deeply missed by the many who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Since retiring in May 2023, Kevin found great joy on the golf course. His love for golf was only rivaled by his love for people, and he delighted in sharing time on the greens with friends. Kevin’s generous spirit extended far beyond the fairways—he was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether on the course, on the job, or within his neighborhood. His generosity was instinctive, and his willingness to help others was a true reflection of who he was.
Kevin’s legacy is one of compassion, commitment, and the enduring power of family. In his final chapter, Kevin showed remarkable courage and grace. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave and the impact he had on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and especially by his family, yet his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us every day.
