Kenneth W. Nichols' Obituary
Kenneth W. Nichols age 85, passed away July 24, 2022. Beloved husband of 65 years to Barbara Nichols (nee Baracz). Loving father of Kathleen Nichols Rosen and Timothy Paul Nichols. Brother of Geraldine and Norman. Cherished grandfather of Anne Rosen Pai, Sally Rosen Kubancik, and James Kenneth Rosen; great-grandfather to Hailey Joyann Kubancik. For 36 years Ken was a firefighter and ultimately Chief in Cuyahoga Heights and president of the Great Lakes Fire Chiefs Association. He worked part time as a printer for many years. Ken met Barbara in the 8th grade and married two years after high school. During their long marriage they lived in the same house where he had lived as a child but traveled through much of the country. He was an amazing grandpa, loved to fish and tinker in his garage shop, and was a handy jack of all trades. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Visitation will be held at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136 Friday July 29,2022 from 3-7PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd, Parma, OH 44130, Saturday July 30,2022 at 11:30AM. Please meet at church. Interment will be held at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or Hospice of The Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110 USA.
