Kenneth J. Kancies' Obituary
Kenneth J. Kancies, 81, passed away on August 28, 2023.
He was born on December 1, 1941, to the late John and Adele (nee Alelauskas) Kancies in Cleveland, Ohio.
Ken went to St. Joseph High School, graduating in the class of 1961. Following high school, he attended Cuyahoga Community College taking classes in accounting. He worked for East Ohio Gas until retiring in 1998. Ken also served our country in the Army Reserves.
He loved sports and was an usher for the Cleveland Browns and Indians (Guardians) and a past Commander for the American Legion in Euclid, Ohio. Ken loved horses and was a big fan of horse racing.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Kancies and preceded in death by both of his parents.
VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, September 5th from 3pm- 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 6th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, in his name.
