Kay Christine Housum's Obituary
Kay Christine Housum (nee Maletzke), age 79, of Berea, OH (formerly of Parma Heights, OH,) left this earth to rest with the father almighty on June 23, 2025. Kay was a lover of music and an avid fan of playing a baby grand piano or her beloved church organ. She was most recently known as “The Piano Lady” while residing at Generations Assisted Living of Berea. Kay was an avid bingo player, volunteer and loved to exercise her skills making her own holiday wreaths or gifting personal birthday cards using her creative writing skills.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 18, 1946. She is preceded in death by parents Frank and Hazel Maletzke. Siblings include Frank Maletzke (Joy), Joyce Johnson (Doug), Janice Hintz, Alan Maletzke (Ruben Moreno) and Brian Maletzke (Kaye). Loving mother of Craig Housum (Marci), Keith Housum (Laura) and Scott Housum (Barbara). Loving grandmother of Jared, Tyler, Lauren, Max, Rose, Brooke and Madisyn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on July 12, 2025 at the Strongsville United Methodist Church following an opportunity to visit with family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Accommodations made by Jardine Funeral Home.
