Mike and I were so inspired listening to each of you describing your Mother’s love. It was an honor to be a part of this service. One of our memories , Mikes birthday is April 14 th and when we would send her a birthday card she would have a message on our machine thanking us for the card. When I think of my Aunt Billie, I think of someone who was overflowing with love. She had a special caring manner that endeared her to so many. One of my fondest memories of my mom was when I surprised her coming home from the Navy around Christmas time. I got home well after dark and she was busy in her role as Dream Muffin (Santa's baker). She made the ginger bread house that completely took up the WHOLE fireplace mantle, complete with dozens of trees, Santa's sleigh and reindeer, all the realistically colored horses, and this year, a sailor at the door.
Truly a life fully and well lived but also a life well shared. Countless 4-H memories and times shared with family are held in our hearts and minds. She was an inspiration to many. To this day, I still make her Gingerbread cookies at Christmas. Go in Peace Mrs. Wilson and enjoy dancing with Mr. Wilson.
