June Greenwald's Obituary
June Greenwald, 94, passed away on March 21, 2024.
She was born on July 7, 1929, to the late Fred and Edna (nee Kraus) Robinson in Lakewood, Ohio.
June was a very accomplished musician and artist. She has lived in Strongsville since 1960, where she and her husband built a life together and raised their 6 children. June was a lover of all animals, a trait she passed down to her children, and raised many dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and honeybees over the years. She has been a longtime supporter of the Animal Protective League.
She is survived by her children Jeannette (Rick) Vierheller, Patricia Skabar, Dianne Alaimo, Melissa (Brian) Harvanek, Kurt Greenwald, and Keith Greenwald; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, who passed away in 2013, William Greenwald; and her brother Herb Robinson.
VISITATION will be held on TUESDAY, March 26th from 3pm – 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on WEDNESDAY, March 27th at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Animal Protective League or The Alzheimer’s Association.
