Judith Ann Newell's Obituary
Judith Ann Newell (nee Henninger) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Henninger, a sister Margaret and a brother John. She is survived by her first and only love, her spouse of 63 years, David Newell, her daughters Ingrid (Jeff) Martin and Amy (Jim) Holt and her seven adoring grandchildren, David (Jamie) Perruchon, Christopher (Emily) Perruchon, Leah (Hunter) McDonald, James Holt and Amanda Holt, Max Martin and Tara Martin. She also leaves 5 great-grandchildren, Emry and Wyatt Perruchon, Lucas and Marshall McDonald and Isla Perruchon.
She was a lover of music, playing the violin, singing in her school and church choirs and learning the cello in her retirement years. She was a labor and delivery nurse at Southwest General Hospital in Berea and subsequently received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Cleveland State University, ending her professional career as a mental health therapist. During her retirement, she joined the quilters' group at The Strongsville Recreation Center, which made quilts that were donated to several area hospitals. Judy was a founding member of the Southwest Unitarian Universalist Church in North Royalton, Ohio.
Her family and many others will miss her dearly.
