Joyce Turner's Obituary
Joyce Turner, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Strongsville, Ohio. Born on April 8, 1934, in Yakima, Washington, Joyce's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her artistic talent, and her devotion to her family and community.
Joyce's life was a beautiful tapestry of love and service. She was the beloved wife of the late James Turner for 40 years, a partnership that was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they built a family foundation that would stand the test of time. Joyce was a loving mother to Ellen Wittman (Archie), Paul Turner (Rita), David Turner, and John Turner (Diane). Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, nurturing her children with a blend of strength and tenderness that only she could provide.
The joy of family extended to her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce's grandchildren, Emily, Jon, James, Scott, Bryon, Genelle, Cherise, Austin, Sean, and Kristin, were the recipients of her boundless love and the stories she would tell. Her great-grandchild, Zomari, added a new layer of delight to her later years.
Joyce's talents were many, and she shared them generously. As a talented artist, her paintings and crafts brought beauty into the world and joy to those who beheld them. Her skills in the kitchen were legendary; as a classic cook and baker, she created dishes that were not only a feast for the palate but also for the heart. Her recipes and culinary creations will be cherished and passed down through generations.
An active church and community volunteer, Joyce's faith and commitment to service were cornerstones of her life. She gave her time and energy selflessly, always seeking to uplift others and contribute to the greater good. Her enthusiasm as a gardener was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her yard, a reflection of the love and care she poured into every living thing.
Joyce's love for animals was yet another expression of her boundless compassion. She found joy in the company of all creatures, great and small, and her gentle presence was a comfort to the furry friends that were lucky enough to cross her path.
