Joseph "Buddy" Lawless' Obituary
Buddy Lawless, 86, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly Dumont, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on September 6th.Buddy was born on August 24th, 1935 in New York City. After graduating from Brooklyn Tech High School he proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, Second Division, Headquarters Battalion. He went on to a successful career at IBM, during which he travelled the world, often with his lifelong friend Bernie Sidley. Buddy enjoyed woodworking and home renovation projects, helping many friends and family over the years. His pool parties were legendary.
Buddy is survived by his beloved wife Patricia; loving grandchildren Braeden, Olivia and Linnaea; sisters Roberta (Magee) and Josephine (Erickson); nephews Theodore, Christopher, and Erik Olafson, and Donald Fraser; nieces Maria Macciola; Julie, Debbie, and Donna as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 35 years Barbara (nee Treacy); parents Joseph and Maria (nee Piekart); sisters Marie (Kalousek), Dorothy (Macciola) and Patricia (Fraser); and nephew Robert Fraser.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joseph Lawless at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 10 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Euclid (MEET AT CHURCH). Interment at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
