Joseph Bukovina's Obituary
Joseph M. Bukovina, 89, passed away on January 17th, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 1st, 1933 to the late Michael and Mary (nee Matava) Bukovina in Cleveland, Ohio.
Following his high school graduation, Joseph was proud to have served his country for several years in the US Army. He then worked at Midland Steel in which he retired from after 41 years.
He married Jean Derrico on September 7th, 1970. They have been married for 52 years.
Joe enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, baseball, and making model ships. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife as well as his happy hour outings. Joe also spent countless hours with his grandchildren, at their school events, sports outings, and family celebrations.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bukovina; children Joseph (Cynthia) Bukovina Jr., Jamie (Kathy) Bukovina, and Jennifer (Sam) Messina; and was the proud Papa to Spencer, Griffin, Anthony, Sammy, Brianna, Gianna, and Brody; and sister Margie.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers John and Hank Bukovina.
A MEMORIAL MASS will be held on WEDNESDAY, January 25th, 2023 at 10am at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 2281 Columbus Road, Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
