John C. Walsh, 87, passed away August 22, 2021. Beloved husband of Veronica Walsh (nee Urban) for 59 years. Loving father of John Walsh (Violet) and Susan Gilmartin (Andrew). Son of the late John Robert Walsh and Coletta Terise Walsh (nee Burger). Brother of the late Kathleen, Patricia, and James. Dear grandfather of Ryan and Devon. U.S. Navy Veteran. John was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School (’52) and attended Fenn College. Long-time employee of Cleveland Trust Bank (Ameritrust) and Farmer’s Insurance Group. He was very active in civic groups, notably the Middleburg Heights Lions Club, proud and active member of the U.S. Navy Cruisers Sailors Association. John loved his Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. NO FLOWERS PLEASE. In memory of John, instead of a monetary donation, the family asks that when you see a Veteran to please shake their hand and thank them for their service.
