John Thomas Toth's Obituary
John Thomas Toth, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 62 in Strongsville, Ohio. Born on August 25, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, John's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.
John was the beloved husband of Lisa Toth (nee Stephen) for 36 years, a union that was filled with mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a loving father to his daughter Rachel Toth, who, along with her partner Ricky Camargo, brought him immense pride and happiness. John was the cherished son of the late Barry and Anne Toth and a respected son-in-law to the late Barb and Chuck Stephen. His siblings, Deborah Humbert (Ted), Greg Toth (Lee), Barry Toth (Kim), Mark Toth, and Elizabeth Gerland, will remember him as a dear brother who was always there for them in times of need.
John's professional life was marked by a 20-year tenure at First Energy, where he dedicated himself as a substation design engineer. His passion for his work was evident to all who knew him, and his contributions to the field were significant and lasting.
A passionate supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes, he tried to never miss watching a game. He was also an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, lost in the pages of a new adventure. Golfing was another of John's pleasures, and he spent many sunny days on the greens, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golfers. He enjoyed camping with his wife, Lisa.
John's generosity knew no bounds. He was the "go-to" person for many, always willing to lend a hand. The joy of becoming a grandfather to Delilah Ann was a crowning moment in his life, and he embraced the role with all the love in his heart.
Those who knew John would describe him as loving, generous, and handy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
