JOHN "JACK" SOMOLES Jr., AGE 81, PASSED AWAY ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, 2024. Longtime partner of Marie E. Busch for 42 years; dear father of Tracy Somoles, Tricia Balser (Jonathon), stepfather of Jeffrey Busch (Susan), Terry Busch (Lisa), Krystine Smith (Rich), Steven Busch and Andrew Busch;
loving brother of Paul Somoles (deceased) and Eugene "Gene" Somoles (Dee);
cherished son of the late John Edward Somoles and Helen Irene Somoles (nee O'Malley);
grandfather of Caden and Ellery Balser, Kenley Somoles, Jessica and Lindsay, Kyle and Nick, Austin and Garrett, Brian; great grandfather of Calhan, Claire, Stella, and Elena.
John was a proud 1961 graduate of St. Ignatius High School where he lettered in three sports. He often spoke of the “Golden Honkers,” a name he and his football teammates coined in reference to their club. Afterward, he attended 2 years at The Ohio State University where he participated in baseball and lacrosse.
Jack served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer stationed in Livorno, Italy. He retired as manager of Falcon Tool Company after 40 years of service.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT JARDINE FUNERAL HOME 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, on Tuesday, August 27 from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, on Wednesday, August 28, at 10 AM. Jack will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
