John C. Parker's Obituary
John C. Parker 92, of Strongsville, passed away February 21,2021. Born on September 12, 1928 in Utica, NY to Charles D. and Elizabeth (nee Hannon). Grew up in Kirkville area of upstate NY. Attended E. Syracuse Minoa High School. Joined General Motors Insurance (MIC) in Syracuse 12/7/53, served in managerial positions in Garden City, NY; NYC; Forest Hills, NY; Cleveland; and retired from Flint, MI in 1989. Mr. Parker was an avid power boater and golfer. In retirement he spent winters in Melbourne, FL and summers at their cottage in Bridgeport, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Faye (Philomena); children John III (Jill) of Gig Harbor, WA, James (Lynette) of Blossvale, NY, Robert Graben of Las Vegas, Karen Dunn (Edward) of E. Syracuse, NY, Laura Gaba (John) of Olmsted Twp; 4 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 10 great grandchildren, and a brother, Richard (Shirley) of E. Syracuse, NY. Among his final wishes were to let his wife, Faye, know how much he loved her and to thank her for taking such good care of him in his final years. He had a heart of gold and loved his family deeply. Visitation will be held at Jardine Funeral Home 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, OH 44136 Friday February 26, 2021 from 4-7PM. Funeral service will be held at Strongsville United Methodist Church 13500 Royalton Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136 Saturday February 27, 2021 at 10AM. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
