John F. Kotlin's Obituary
John Kotlin, 91, passed away on December 20, 2023.
He was born on November 10, 1932, to Joseph and Rose (nee Broz) Kotlin in Cleveland, Ohio.
John went to high school at West Tech. He then enlisted into the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955, during the Korean War, as an areal photographer.
He married Erma Campbell on May 21, 1960, at Calvary Presbyterian in Cleveland. They have been married for over 63 years.
John worked for the Cleveland RTA for 35 years, starting out as a driver and then a dispatcher.
He loved his family dearly and his grandchildren were the light of his life. John was a gifted handyman creating beautiful woodwork pieces, and remodeling homes. He took a special liking to animals of all kinds.
In addition to his lovely wife, Erma, he is survived by his children Kimberly (Scott Tuttle) Kotlin, Kathleen (Ed) Stein, and John (Jillian) Kotlin; brother Joe Kotlin; and grandchildren Ashley (Jason) Fandrich, Dillon Fandrich, Dakota (Emily) Kotlin, Zachary (Megan) Stein, Dalton Kotlin, Isabella Stein, Julianna Stein, Devan Kotlin, and Giuliana Gass; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
VISITATION will be held on Saturday, December 30th from 3pm to 5pm at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held, same day, at 5pm, also at Jardine Funeral Home.
