John was a true friend to my son Calvin who also moved to Nashville after college. Calvin spoke of him often, always with a smile on his face. Calvin said John loved dogs and he took care of Calvin's hound dog Sampson often when Calvin would come home to visit us in Alaska. I was looking forward to meeting John on my first visit to Nashville last October, but at the last minute his plans changed and he could not join us for dinner. I knew I would meet him on my next visit and I believe that someday I will have the chance to thank him for the unconditional friend he was to my son. It was comforting to know my son had John to depend on. To raise such kind a caring young man is a statement of a loving family. My prayers and tears are abundant for your family. I am so saddened by your loss.

John was one of my best friends and was an even better person. We spent almost everyday together when we both loved in Strongsville whether it was at baseball or just hanging out. My thoughts and prayers go out to his whole family. Loved you like a brother John. I will think about you and miss you everyday. RIP
