Joe Krause's Obituary
Joe Krause, a vibrant soul known for his love of the outdoors and his unwavering devotion to his family, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 26. Born on August 19, 1998, in Cleveland, Ohio, Joe's zest for life and infectious smile left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
As the beloved son of Tammy Krause and Dave Krause (Paulette Ivan), Joe grew up surrounded by love and laughter. He was the protective and loving brother of Kala Humphrey and Katie-Anne Krause, and the cherished grandson of Chuck and Mary Ann Fantis, Vic and Kim Hudak, Jeff Krause and Joseph Humphrey. His role as an adoring uncle to Ayden was one he took great pride in, and he was a treasured nephew to Nick Fantis (Danielle), Kevin Fantis, Amber Fantis, Jared Hudak (Lisa), Sean Fisher (Paula), Emily Brooker, and Josh Hudak. Joe's special bond with his dear friend Allie was evident to all who knew them. He was a dear cousin, nephew and a friend to many, leaving behind a community that will deeply miss his presence. Joe is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Hudak, and his uncle, Joseph Humphrey. Their legacy of love, kindness and strength lives on through Joe, whose own life was a testament to the values they cherished.
Joe's adventurous spirit was as boundless as the natural world he so loved to explore. Catching turtles, fishing, four-wheeling, skiing, and shooting were more than just hobbies; they were the threads that wove the tapestry of his life. Joe's true love, however, was his diesel truck, "Hank," a project that captured countless hours of his dedication and care. Joe's newest toy was his red Harley Davidson. He loved nothing more than feeling the wind on his skin, joy riding with his friends and going on adventures on his bike. His return trips from the Michigan border brought him joy which he shared with many. His love of playing cards, shooting pool and singing karaoke was matched only by his ability to fix almost anything with his hands.
Above all, Joe's heart belonged to his family. He was a steadfast presence at family gatherings, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His love for his family was as deep as it was genuine, and his absence will be felt at every family dinner, every holiday celebration, and every quiet moment in between.
As we bid farewell to Joe Krause, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose. We remember a man who found joy in the simplest pleasures and who understood the importance of cherishing every moment with those he loved. Joe's memory will continue to inspire us to embrace the beauty of nature, the thrill of adventure, and the warmth of family.
