Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, showering Amanda (Cory) Skuderin, Elizabeth (Ray) Erne, Paige (Cian) Grendon, Brooke Blatnik, Katie Blatnik, and Kelly (Daniel) Poutz with affection and wisdom. She was a doting great-grandmother. The bond she shared with her late sister Julie Siegel was one of kindred spirits and steadfast support.
Joan worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Strongsville. Joan's commitment to her community was evident through her active involvement with the Chamber of Commerce in Strongsville and Architectural Review Board. Her dedication to public service was matched only by her dedication to her family. As the matriarch, Joan was the heart of every gathering. Her pool and Christmas parties were the stuff of family legend, occasions where laughter was abundant, and everyone was made to feel at home. Joan's desire for her children's happiness was the guiding principle of her life, and it was a wish she saw fulfilled time and again. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and the unforgettable aroma of her legendary homemade spaghetti.
The love Joan had for her family, extended family, and friends was the essence of who she was. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband and children, a place where everyone was welcome, and memories were made to last a lifetime.
