Dear Jodi and the Lohrey family: Losing a mother/grandmother is one of the most difficult loses to bear, especially one so vibrant and loving. But she left such an indelible mark through her life, and through the children and grandchildren she loved and nurtured; I am sure God is so pleased with the life she led, and she is now resting comfortably in the arms of her Lord who loves her so much!

Although I did not know Joan, your mom and grandma, it was clearly evident from the heartfelt obituary that she was a remarkable lady...so giving, generous, and full of life. Her shining spirit and years of service have definitely rubbed off on her family...who are also kind, compassionate, and dedicated to helping others.
My condolences to you, I know how much you will grieve and miss her. Her beautiful soul is with God, where she will find rest, peace and love for all eternity. Remember, "Unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone. But it if dies, it bears much fruit" (John 12:24)
