I just learned of Joanne’s passing yesterday. I have health issues, so I was not in the store over the winter and since the start of spring, I’ve been there several times and have not seen her. I just learned from a mutual friend that she had passed, and I was so deeply saddened that it took my breath away. I always chose her line when she was working, and we would share stories of our families both happy and sad. She talked about her twin sister frequently. Giant eagle will never be the same without her smiling face. She will be missed.

I just recently found out Jo-Anne passed away!😢 You get so used to seeing certain people at stores you shop at. I'd look forward to seeing her at Giant Eagle~she was SOO sweet! I was a long time Foster Mom, bringing kids shopping w/me always. "Libby", who had severe behavior issues, came w/me everywhere I went. When I'd see Jo-Anne was working, we'd always go in HER line! She'd speak softly to Libby & calm her down, as Libby would be screaming "I WANT SKITTLES NOWW!" through- out Giant Eagle! She told me she had a twin sister who she'd always speak of. Jo-Anne is truly missed by all those that she brought a smile to our faces. Rest in Paradise, sweet Jo-Anne❣️️Love & prayers to her family & friends.

I have been a long-time customer at Giant Eagle in Berea Ohio. And always enjoyed checking out at Jo-Anne's register. She loved seeing my Service Dog Shadow who she said made her day. My condolences go out to her family as she will be dearly missed and will remain forever in their thoughts and prayers.

We became friends on the Parkway and even though we didn’t see each other as often, we kept in touch at Rini’s and Giant Eagle through the years. JoAnn never failed to ask about family and I asked about hers. Her mom and dad, Judy, Jill and David are in these pictures along with her, me, Lori and my dad. These are the greatest memories I have of growing up on the Parkway, of playing in the doll house behind their house and even making David play too. Trick or treating until way past dark! I will always treasure those memories. On behalf of my sister and I, we are so sorry for two great losses in your family and our prayers are that as JoAnn is home with Jesus that your sorrow be eased.
