Jo Ann Oliveros' Obituary
Jo Ann Oliveros, 77, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was born on October 31, 1946, to Ben and Betty (Roberts) Peter’s, in Abilene, Texas.
Jo Ann attended Paschal High School and graduated in the class of 1964. Paschal High School was a special place, it is where she met the love of her life, Edwin Oliveros, at the age of 16. She also studied at the University of North Texas. Jo Ann and Ed got married on October 22, 1966, and have been marrried for 57 years. Together they had three children Michele (Craig) Peterjohn, Wendy Oliveros, and Brandon Oliveros; and four grandchildren Jake, Graham, and Madison Peterjohn, and Samuel Lombardo.
Jo Ann worked for Continental (United) Airlines, holding different roles including hub supervisor, for 15 years before retirement. This is where she gained her passion for traveling. She specifically enjoyed going on cruises and visiting Mexico. Joann also volunteered for different organizations, enjoyed reading books, watching true crime shows, and shopping.
Above all, Jo Ann loved her family and friends dearly, spending as much time with them as she could.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Gary (Brenda - surviving) Peters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 9th from 1pm - 4pm at Brew Garden in Strongsville, 16555 South Park Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers or a charity of your choosing.
