I was saddened to read of the passing of Jerry Bakota. I so remember those wonderful days at Central National Bank's East Cleveland Office. He was the manager. I was the secretary/teller. Those wonderful days of quarterly interesting posting to savings accounts, trying to make it all balance while enjoying refreshments dropped off to all of us by Gino of Gino's Restaurant in Crystal Towers in East Cleveland. Jerry would lovingly refer to me as Char the Star. Unless I dared to disagree with him in which case he referred to me as Char the Fading Star....because, after all, he was the manager!
Those were great days. We shall all miss him. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
