Jeffrey Alan Matuch's Obituary
Jeffrey Alan Matuch, passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 63. Born on March 20, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. Jeff’s unwavering courage and selfless nature were evident to all, particularly during his valiant fight with Multiple Sclerosis.
Jeff was the beloved husband of Ann Matuch (nee Bayer) for 33 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. He was a loving father to Nicholas (and his wife Laina), Olivia, and Samuel Matuch, instilling in them the values of dedication and compassion that he lived by. Jeff was predeceased by his parents, James and Carol Matuch, and is survived by his dear sister, Julie Heishman (the late Joe). His role as a cherished grandfather to Kaya and Axel was one he embraced with delight and pride. His legacy also extends to the many nieces and nephews who adored their uncle, as well as a host of friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
For many years, Jeff worked in furniture retail, where his warm personality and keen sense of business made him a favorite among colleagues and customers alike. His professional life was marked by the same integrity and kindness that he carried into his personal relationships.
Jeff's love for life was paralleled by his passion for sports. He had played high school football and remained an avid Cleveland Browns fan throughout his life. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team, surrounded by friends and family. Golf was another of Jeff's interests, and he enjoyed spending time on the green, reveling in the camaraderie and challenge of the sport.
Above all, Jeff was devoted to his children and family, a devotion that shone through in every aspect of his life. He was a man who never complained, no matter the challenges he faced. His courage, especially in his battle with MS, was an inspiration to all who knew him. Jeff's selflessness was a guiding light, and his presence enriched the lives of those around him.
VISITATION SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2024 from 2PM-6PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place MONDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2024 at 10AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Strongsville. Interment private.
