Jeffrey T. Hackett, 51, passed away March 11, 2025. Beloved son of the late Ruth Hackett and George Hackett (Sarah;surviving). Cherished brother of Mark Hackett (Gina) and Gretchen Hackett (Daniel Guck). Loving uncle of Gabriella Ryan, Isabella Shevok (Lawrence), Sofia Hackett and Nicholas Hackett. Nephew of Robert Flynn (deceased), the late Thomas Flynn (Victoria;surviving), Kathy Travosek (Paul;deceased), Darlene Price (George), Bill Hackett and Thomas Hackett (Mary Jo). Cousin of Tonya, Natalie, Lana, Sean, Amanda, Alex, Michael and Sarah. Jeff was a dear friend to many.
Jeffrey grew up surrounded by love, sharing countless adventures with his brother, Mark, his cousins, his aunts and uncles, and his mom. Those early years were filled with laughter, mischief, and an unbreakable bond that time and distance could never erase.
Jeff was a quiet soul, but those who truly knew him saw the depth of his loyalty and the fierce dedication he had for the people he loved. His friendships were strong, built on trust and genuine connection. Whether it was sharing moments of fun or simply being there when it mattered most, he was someone you could always count on.
If you knew Jeff, you knew Nike—because he made sure you did. His obsession wasn’t just about the brand; it was practically a personality trait. If Nike had a VIP status for dedication, Jeff would have been their poster child. From shoes to gear, if it had a swoosh, he had to have it.
He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and everyone whose life he touched. Though he is gone, the memories of his kindness, loyalty, and quiet but unwavering presence will remain with us always.
VISITATION SUNDAY, MARCH 16, 2025 from 1PM-3PM with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 3PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A private family burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
