James (Jim) L. Novak's Obituary
James (Jim) J. Novak age 60 passed away Thursday November 1, 2012 after a long and brave battle with cancer. Loving husband of Kitty (nee Turner) and dear father of Samantha (Christian Waldeck) and Rachel. Beloved son of Helen and the late Leonard Novak. Loving brother to Ron (Donna), Carol Wolf (Don), Lori Kosuda (Jim) and Shelley Svoboda (Mark). Loving and fun Uncle to Ron and Debbie Novak, Neal and Adam Wolf, Danny and Emily Kosuda, Nicholas and Alex Svoboda, Nikolas and Allyson Djuric. Great Uncle to Hunter, Mason and Eden Wolf and Ezra and Elliot Wolf. He is also survived by mother in law Shirley Turner and father in law the late John Turner and loving sister-in-laws Amy Panagopoulos (Jim) and Kris Djuric (Ron). Jim, also known as “Jimbo”, “UJ”, “Tooling Jim”, “Big Jim” lived life to the fullest with his greatest treasures being his family, friends and co-workers at Foseco where he worked for 35+ years. To love Jim you knew that he was a “man with a plan”. He could handle almost anything, but he needed to know what to expect. He had many passions in his life which included playing Sudoku and Angry birds, riding his motorcycle, golfing, OSU football and last but not least having the greenest grass in the neighborhood. He will be missed by his pets, Kiwi, Olow, Dolce and Laika. His 2 girls always made his heart smile. He was a very supportive and involved dad as he was the assistant girl scout leader, and “Elite” dance dad helping to build props for dancing competitions and assistant coach to youth soccer and baseball teams. He was a late bloomer to social networking, but once discovered he became addicted to his “tabby” and would search the internet for projects he could do with his daughter Rachel, watch movies and he even joined face book (although he need remedial training from his girls). He could “text message” but his daughters helped him with the language of texting. Jim and his wife of 34 years met on a blind date and were married 2 years later. In Fulfillment of Jim’s wishes, there will be no local visitation or service. A celebration of his life is planned for December 2012 with family and friends. Condolences may be sent to the Novak home at 5198 Cheyney Lane, Brunswick, Ohio, 44212. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure”. We love you! You will be dearly missed.”
