James F. Byrne's Obituary
James F. Byrne, 90, passed away October 16, 2023. Beloved husband of 54 years to Carol Byrne (nee Moenich). Loving father of James Byrne II (Katy), Daniel Byrne and Maureen McGrath (James). Son of the late James and Lillian Byrne. Brother of the late Thomas C. Byrne (Patricia) and John H. Byrne. Brother-in-law of Thomas Moenich and Rita Byrne. Dear grandfather of Jimmy and Patrick Byrne, Seamus and Colm McGrath. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran and served his time during the Korean War. He carried on his family’s business, Byrne Sign and Art Supply, for 40 years. He had a continuing love for producing art especially painting and sculpting. Jim loved making and painting lady bugs – he has created over 1,000 lady bugs and he thoroughly enjoyed randomly handing them out to people to keep. It often brought a smile to his face knowing that this small act of kindness really made a difference in a person’s day. Along with his love of art, he was also an avid fan and loved all Cleveland sports. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
