James L. Atkinson, 72, passed away of Parkinson’s Disease on December 16, 2016. Beloved husband of Beverly for 49 years. Loving father of Kimberly Atkinson. Dear brother of Tom Atkinson (Lori) and Helen Dipert (Tom). Step-brother of Gerry Hawk (Jerry) and Betty Case. Son of the late Francis Ody-Atkinson and Lawrence Eckelmeyer and Bruce Atkinson. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He worked at Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for 30 years and then went on to be a consultant for many years. Jim enjoyed golfing, boating and spending time with his family. VISITATION MONDAY 4-8PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Funeral Service TUESDAY 10AM at Jardine’s. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
