Jacob Michael Wasko, 17, passed away on July 8, 2022.

If you knew Jacob, you were sure to notice his endearing and infectious personality. He had a beautiful smile. Jacob loved talking and would strike up a conversation with anyone who was willing to listen. If you needed something, he was always there to lend a generous helping hand. Jacob was such a kind and loving person. He always knew how to make his family and friends laugh, and he did that as often as he could.
Jacob cherished racing and had been racing with his family since the day he was born. The passion Jacob had for drag racing at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk was inspiring and was felt around the country. He had just made the move from a junior dragster to a full- sized car for Edelbrock Super Pro. Fellow competitors praised Jacob for his talent and viewed him as a tough competitor and a force to be reckoned with. He and “Papa” Edwards had a special bond that included going fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his buddy, Papa Wasko at the station. Jacob enjoyed spending time with Ava and loved her dearly.
Jacob is survived by his parents Scott and Heidi Wasko; sister Jordan Wasko; grandparents Roy (Barb) Wasko, John and the late Carol Edwards; aunts and uncles Lindsay (Ron) Biondo, Kevin (Kristin) Wasko, Lisa (Tim) Shea, Eric Valentine, and Angie Smith; cousins Brylan, Brayden, Maddie, Lauren, Matt, Tyler, Madison, and Matt; and many great aunts, uncles, and extended family. He is also survived by his faithful dog companions, Bowie and Oliver.
