J. William "Bill" McCool's Obituary
John William McCool, 69, passed away February 26, 2017. Beloved husband of Rose Anne (nee Sichau) for 5,938 days which Bill lovingly counted. Preceded in death by his parents, John and June McCool, and his niece Julie Kay Trenta. Dear brother of Mary Joan “Micki” Trenta (Louis) and James D. McCool (Diana). Loving step-father of Michelle McBurney (Chris), Kristin Miller and Jon Novak (Courtney). Proud Papa of Brightin, Lana, Keegan, Logan, Camden, Claire and Catherine. Son-in-law of Lena and the late Richard Sichau. Loving uncle, great-uncle, cousin and dear friend to many. Bill was born in Akron, OH and attended St. Sebastian grade school and St. Vincent High School; receiving the Fr. Thomas F. Maher Alumni Award in 1979. In 1973, he was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Cleveland where he served for 19 years. He later worked for Columbia Hills Country Club and Container Port Group in Cleveland, retiring in 2015. VISITATION 3-7 PM FRIDAY at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Church with his nephew, Fr. Christopher Trenta, as celebrant. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
