Hilma Madeline Floyd (nee Pugh), 98, passed away May 16, 2024. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late William Floyd Jr. Loving mother of Darleen Meredith Hine (the late Rick), Susan Charlotte Acord (Terry) and the late Terry Dexter Floyd and Dwaine Jeffrey Floyd. Daughter of the late Grover and Zona Pugh. Sister of the late Russell Pugh. Dear grandmother of Tiffany and Branden Hine, Terry Jr, Andrew (Megan), Jordan and Joshua Acord. Beloved great grandmother of Emma, Wyatt, Nora, McKenzie and Grayson.
Hilma grew up on a farm in Hacker Valley, West Virginia. Her favorite hobbies were reading and gardening. Hilma loved all the holidays gathering with family, but Christmas was her favorite. She went to West Virginia Wesleyan College to become a schoolteacher. Hilma taught in a one room schoolhouse. She dearly loved her family and church. She faithfully attended Grace Baptist Church with her husband and family for many years.
VISITATION THURSDAY 3-7PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Road, Brunswick OH 44212. Interment Strongsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bereavement Meal Fund at Grace Baptist Church.
