Hilda H. Mroz's Obituary
Hilda H. Mroz, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, at the age of 98. Born on April 7, 1926, in East Trumble, OH, to the late Henry and Alvina Dorn, Hilda was one of five children, all of whom predeceased her. Her life was a testament to the love and dedication she had for her family and community.
Hilda's spirit and strength were the cornerstones of her family. She was the loving wife for 43 years to the late Alfred Mroz. She is survived by her devoted children, Leslie (Jeff) Readinger and Michael (Lisa) Mroz. Hilda was a loving grandmother to Erin (Mike) Konet, Laurel (Brad) Readinger, Jill (Kris) Fick, Kalie (Brad) Biddle, and Michael (Eli) Mroz. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought a sparkle to her eye and warmth to her heart.
Throughout her life, Hilda embraced the role of homemaker with grace and enthusiasm. Her home was always a welcoming haven, filled with the aroma of freshly baked cookies and the beauty of her well-tended gardens. Hilda's love for gardening was evident in the vibrant flowers and bountiful vegetables that adorned her property. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years, where she formed many lasting friendships.
Hilda was a pillar of the Pilgrim Church in Garfield Heights, where she was very active and deeply involved. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she lived it out through her actions and commitment to her church community. Her kindness and generosity of spirit were evident to all who knew her.
All services will be PRIVATE for the family. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
